These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of Node Wallet (the “App”). By accessing or using the App, including by signing in, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App.
In these Terms:
- “App”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the App and its Developers.
- “Developers” means the persons or entities that created, maintain, or operate the App.
- “you” and “your” mean the person who accesses or uses the App.
1. Description of the App
The App is a software interface that aims to provide fast and simple token swap, send, and receive transactions for World Chain users.
The App allows you to:
- connect your own compatible wallet; and
- initiate blockchain transactions (for example, to buy, sell, or swap tokens) by interacting with smart contracts and protocols.
The App is an interface only. It is not a bank, broker, exchange, custodian, or investment service.
2. Non‑Custodial Nature
The App is non‑custodial. This means:
- The App and the Developers do not hold, manage, or control your funds.
- The App and the Developers do not store your private keys, seed phrases, or wallet passwords.
- The App and the Developers cannot initiate transactions on your behalf.
When you use the App:
- Transactions are executed only when you confirm and sign them with your own wallet.
- Transactions are sent directly from your wallet to blockchain smart contracts or protocols.
- Once a transaction is broadcast to the blockchain, it is generally irreversible.
- You are solely responsible for the security of your wallet, your keys, and your device.
3. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the App, including by clicking “Sign In” or similar buttons, you:
- confirm that you have read and understood these Terms;
- agree to be legally bound by these Terms; and
- agree that you are responsible for all actions taken through the App using your wallet or device.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not access or use the App.
4. Eligibility and Compliance
By using the App, you represent and warrant that:
- You are of legal age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms under the laws that apply to you.
- You are permitted by the laws and regulations of your jurisdiction to use crypto assets and applications like the the App.
- You are not using the App for any illegal or prohibited purpose, including but not limited to money laundering, terrorism financing, fraud, or other unlawful activities.
- You are fully responsible for understanding and complying with all laws and regulations that apply to you when using the App.
5. Fees
When you use the App, the following types of fees may apply:
Network fees (gas):
- Paid to the blockchain network, not to the Developers.
- Required for processing your transactions.
Protocol / liquidity provider fees:
- Charged by third‑party smart contracts, protocols, or liquidity providers.
- Determined and collected by those third parties, not by the Developers.
App interface fee – tiered (1–3%) on buy/sell swaps:
- 1% for trades ≥ $0.50, 2% for trades ≥ $0.10 and < $0.50, 3% for trades < $0.10 (USD notional, based on the latest spot price, which may be roughly one minute old—or older during spot price delays).
- This fee is received by or on behalf of the Developers as compensation for providing and maintaining the App interface.
- The way in which the fee is charged (for example, as part of the swap) will be shown or implied by the interface or your wallet.
By proceeding with a transaction, you agree to all applicable fees.
6. No Financial, Investment, Legal, or Tax Advice
Nothing provided by the App (including any text, numbers, prices, links, or other information) constitutes:
- financial advice,
- investment advice,
- legal advice,
- tax advice, or
- any recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or use any asset or protocol.
The App and the Developers:
- do not recommend any particular token, protocol, or transaction;
- do not evaluate whether any asset, protocol, or action is appropriate for you; and
- do not take into account your personal situation, objectives, or risk tolerance.
You are solely responsible for your own decisions and for any consequences of those decisions. If you are unsure, you should consult an independent professional advisor before using the App.
7. Risks of Using the App and Crypto Assets
Using the App and interacting with crypto assets involves significant risk, including risks that may be non‑obvious or unexpected. By using the App, you acknowledge and accept, at a minimum, the following risks:
a) Market and Price Risk
- Crypto assets can be extremely volatile.
- The value of your assets may change quickly and may go to zero.
- Slippage, price impact, and low liquidity can cause you to receive less than expected.
b) Smart Contract and Protocol Risk
- You may interact with third‑party smart contracts and protocols that may contain bugs, vulnerabilities, or design issues.
- Smart contracts and protocols can be exploited, upgraded, misconfigured, or behave differently than you expect.
- Even if code has been audited or reviewed, no security guarantee exists.
c) Technical and Network Risk
- Blockchain networks may suffer from congestion, delays, forks, re‑organizations, or outages.
- Transactions may be delayed, stuck, or reverted.
- Your device, internet connection, or wallet software may fail or behave unexpectedly.
d) Wallet and Security Risk
- If someone gains access to your seed phrase, private key, or unlocked device, they may be able to take control of all your funds.
- The App and the Developers cannot recover your wallet, keys, or assets.
- There is no password reset or recovery service provided by the App.
e) Regulatory and Legal Risk
- Laws and regulations regarding crypto assets and applications can change suddenly.
- New rules may affect your ability to use certain assets, protocols, or features.
You understand and agree that problems can occur even if everything appears to be working normally and that some risks may not be obvious at the time you initiate a transaction. You accept all such risks as your own.
8. Your Responsibilities
When using the App, you are solely responsible for:
- Selecting the tokens, amounts, and transaction parameters;
- Carefully reviewing all transaction details, including tokens, amounts, destination addresses, networks, and fees;
- Confirming or rejecting transactions in your wallet;
- Maintaining the security and confidentiality of your wallet, private keys, seed phrase, and device;
- Ensuring that you have the correct and updated version of any wallet or software you use.
If you:
- send assets to the wrong address,
- approve or sign transactions you do not understand,
- choose the wrong token, amount, or network,
- or otherwise make an error,
the resulting loss is your responsibility only. The App and the Developers cannot correct, reverse, or compensate for such actions.
9. No Warranties – App Provided “As Is”
The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without any warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
Without limiting the foregoing, the Developers make no warranties or representations, express or implied, regarding:
- the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data or information displayed in the App;
- the reliability, security, or error‑free operation of the App;
- the suitability or fitness of the App for any particular purpose;
- the security or proper functioning of any blockchain network, smart contract, protocol, or third‑party service you interact with through the App.
You use the App at your own risk.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developers, and their respective contributors, partners, and service providers, will not be liable for any:
- loss of funds, tokens, or other assets;
- loss of profit, revenue, opportunity, business, or data;
- indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages;
- or any other loss or damage of any kind,
arising out of or related to:
- your use or inability to use the App;
- your interactions with any blockchain, smart contract, protocol, token, or third‑party service through the App;
- any bugs, vulnerabilities, errors, or malfunctions in the App or in third‑party software or services;
- any interruption, suspension, or termination of the App;
- your own actions, mistakes, or misunderstandings.
If, despite these Terms, any competent authority finds that the Developers are liable to you for any reason, you agree that, to the maximum extent permitted by law:
the total combined liability of the Developers to you for all claims will be limited to the smallest amount permitted by applicable law, and in any event will not exceed the total amount of App interface fees (if any) that you directly paid to the Developers via the App in the 30 days immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
If applicable law allows, this may effectively be zero.
11. Waiver and Release of Claims
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you:
- waive, release, and discharge any and all past, present, and future claims, demands, and causes of action against the Developers arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the App; and
- agree that you will not initiate or participate in any claim, lawsuit, or legal proceeding against the Developers arising out of or related to your use of the App, except to the very limited extent that such waiver is not permitted by mandatory law.
If the law where you live does not allow you to waive certain rights, this waiver applies only to the extent that such law allows.
12. Third‑Party Services and Code
The App may use, integrate with, or provide access to:
- third‑party smart contracts and protocols;
- price feeds, data providers, or oracles;
- node or infrastructure providers;
- APIs, libraries, SDKs, and other code or services not controlled by the Developers.
The Developers do not control and are not responsible for any third‑party services or code. The Developers do not endorse, audit, or guarantee the security or suitability of any third‑party services or code.
Any use of such third‑party services or code is solely at your own risk, and any losses or issues caused by them are not the responsibility of the Developers.
13. Changes to the App and to These Terms
The App and these Terms may be updated, changed, or discontinued at any time.
The Developers may add, modify, or remove features, or temporarily or permanently suspend or stop providing the App, at their discretion and without prior notice.
These Terms may be updated from time to time. When this happens, the “Last updated” date at the top of these Terms will change.
If you continue to use the App after any changes to the App or to these Terms, you are deemed to have accepted those changes. If you do not agree to any updated Terms, you must stop using the App.
14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, these Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the App will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict‑of‑law principles.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that any such dispute or claim shall be brought exclusively in the courts of British Columbia, Canada, and you hereby submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts for that purpose.
If the law in your jurisdiction does not allow full exclusivity, this section applies only to the extent permitted by that law.
15. Final Acknowledgment
By accessing or using the App, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You have read and understood these Terms of Use.
- You understand that the App is a non‑custodial interface and that you are always in control of your wallet and transactions.
- You understand and accept that there are significant, and sometimes non‑obvious, risks associated with using the App and with crypto assets generally.
- You accept all such risks as your own and agree that, to the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developers have no responsibility or liability for any loss or damage you may suffer in connection with the App.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you will not access or use the App.
